Promise me - Never, ever throw any jewellery out!!! The best way to update your look is to mix different styles of necklaces together. Mix one long beaded necklace, with a chain pendant, or strands of pearls, - this will give you a more eclectic look. Long beaded necklaces are great to have in your jewellery box, as they are great for adding colour and character to your look. I hate to see anyone throw away jewellery so come along to one of my jewellery making workshops and we can re-work your old jewellery into something fab and very now!

It is very important to look after your jewellery as it will last longer and keep its sparkle. The best tip is to keep precious pieces in small organza bags or wrapped in tissue paper, particularly chain necklaces which can often get tangled. Jewellery boxes and jewellery rolls are fabulous for keeping your jewellery safe and organised.

Wearing silver and gold use to be a big no no but it's actually very easy to mix the two tastefully. A great way to tie in your different metals is with sparkly crystal diamante or rhinestone jewellery. Gunmetal and silver also looks fantastic together.

Oversized earrings look fabulous, but be careful not to go too big for your face. An easy rule of thumb is to wear earrings about the same size as your ears. If you have rounded face I would suggest wearing long chain earrings, as this will lengthen your face. Wear what you feel comfortable wearing, although I can’t resist Beyonce style chandelier earrings as they are such star pieces and will glam up your look instantly.

Not being a morning person myself, I completely understand what you mean, it is hard getting it altogether first thing in the morning. A great tip is to always keep a small organza jewellery pouch in your bag with your favourite earrings or necklace, anything that will be a staple. I keep a smoky grey stretch bracelet from my pinky collection plus my favourite chandelier earrings, both of these keep me from feeling naked and no matter what they go with absolutely everything.
